This is your reminder about the upcoming Santa Clarita Casting Club’s Zoom Book Club meeting on Tuesday, June 24, at 7:00.
We are continuing to read and discuss Tom Rosenbauer’s book The Orvis Guide to Finding Trout. At the June 24 meeting, we will discuss Chapter 5 entitled “Riffles.” I believe that the group consensus is that this is an excellent book with a whole host of tips that even seasoned fly fishers will benefit from.
One tidbit of information is the following: “The break in current behind a rock or jumble of rocks can extend beyond where you see swirls on the surface, so pay special attention to the spot immediately downstream of where the swirls end.”
